A contractor answering service that qualifies the job before you drive out.
You can't take a call from a roof or in the middle of a demo. An AI receptionist answers in seconds, asks about scope, timeline and budget, gets photos by text and books the site visit or inspection on your calendar.

Why contractors miss so many calls
Contractors are rarely at a desk. You’re on a roof, in a crawl space, meeting a client at a kitchen table or driving between jobs. The phone rings in your pocket, and you either stop work to answer or let it go to voicemail. Many homeowners don’t leave a message. They call the next contractor on the list.
The calls you do pick up are often the wrong ones: a job too small, outside your area or not your trade. Every one of those costs you ten minutes and a trip off the ladder. And the good calls, the ones from homeowners ready to start, often come in exactly when you can’t answer: mid-morning and early afternoon, while your crew is working.
Qualify the project before you drive out
The agent asks the questions you’d ask on the first call, every time:
- What’s the project: a roof replacement, a leak, a kitchen, a bathroom, an addition, an ADU.
- Where: address and whether it’s inside your service area.
- When: this week, this season, still planning.
- Budget range: rough, in your wording, and optional.
- Who decides: owner, both spouses, a property manager, an HOA.
- What’s done already: plans, permits, an insurance claim, other bids.
Jobs that don’t fit your area, minimum or trade get a polite answer and, if you want, a referral you approve. The ones that fit get booked.
Photos by text before the estimate
A few photos save a wasted drive. With the Book plan, the agent texts the caller and asks for pictures of the roof, the damaged ceiling, the room to be remodeled or the plans they already have. The photos land with the call summary, so you can tell from the truck whether it’s a repair or a full tear-off, a cosmetic refresh or a structural job. Texts only go to people who contacted you.
Booking site visits and inspections
The agent books into the windows you open on your calendar or in Jobber: roof inspections, walkthroughs, design consultations, measure appointments. It knows how long each type of visit takes and how far you’ll drive. The homeowner gets a confirmation and a reminder, and you get a short brief with the project, the budget range and the photos before you arrive.
Roofers and storm surge
For roofers, the busiest day of the year is the day after a storm. Phones ring nonstop, and everyone wants an inspection now. The agent answers every call at once, asks about active leaks and interior damage, sends real emergencies to your on-call crew for a tarp by your rules and fills your inspection slots in order. It doesn’t promise dates you haven’t opened and doesn’t comment on insurance coverage. Storm days in detail: the roofing answering service page. More on what we run for roofers on the roofing industry page.
Calls from your own job sites
Not every call is a new lead. Suppliers confirm deliveries, subs ask about access, inspectors call to reschedule, and current clients want to know when the crew is coming back. The agent can recognize these, take a clear message with the job address and pass it to the right person, so a lumber delivery question doesn’t sit in voicemail until the end of the day. Calls from current clients can go straight to your project manager by your rules.
Remodelers and GCs: longer sales, fewer surprises
Remodeling and general contracting calls are slower decisions with bigger tickets. The agent takes its time with them: scope, timeline, budget range, who decides and whether there are plans or permits. It doesn’t sell or price the work. It makes sure the first meeting is with someone ready for one. See the remodeling industry page for the rest of what we run for remodelers. It never calls or texts anyone who didn’t reach out first.

What kind of business do you run?
Tap yours. Four more quick questions, then Sergei builds your free audit around the answers.
Questions, answered.
We got burned by an agency. Why is this different?
Fair question. Month to month with 30 days' notice, no 12-month contract. Your phone number stays in your name, and so do recordings and transcripts. To switch the agent off, you stop call forwarding on your line. You deal with Sergei, not an account manager. And if the free audit shows you don't need us, it says so.
Does it work for roofers, remodelers and general contractors?
Yes. The questions change by trade. A roofer's agent asks about leaks, roof age and storm damage. A remodeler's asks about rooms, scope and finishes. A GC's asks about project type, plans and permits. We write the script with you in one call.
Can it ask about budget without scaring people off?
Yes. It asks for a rough range, in your words, and explains why: so the right person comes out with the right expectations. If a caller doesn't want to say, it moves on and notes that for you.
How does it get photos?
On the Book plan and up, it texts the caller a link or asks them to reply with photos of the roof, the room or the damage. Texts only go to people who called you. We never send cold texts.
What about storm days?
It answers as many calls at once as come in, asks each caller the same questions, flags active leaks for a tarp or emergency visit by your rules and fills your inspection slots in order. It never promises a date you haven't opened.
Does it give estimates?
No. It can share your inspection or consultation fee if you have one, and your typical project minimum if you want it to. Prices for the actual work come from you after the visit.
Will callers know it's an AI?
Yes. It says so first, along with the fact that the call is recorded. Homeowners planning a project mostly want a quick, clear next step, and being upfront avoids surprises.
Do you work outside Orange County?
Yes, anywhere in the US. The setup is a 45-minute call and a few test calls, all remote. In Orange County we're also happy to meet in person.
How many minutes will I need?
Rough math: calls a day × about 3 minutes × 30. A business taking 25 calls a day uses about 2,000 minutes a month if the agent answers everything, and closer to 400–600 if it covers only after hours and overflow, which is where most start. We tell you how many minutes you used each month (on Book and Front Desk it's in the monthly report), and we look at the numbers with you before you change plans.
