Privacy policy
What we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how to ask us to see or delete it.
Effective date: October 27, 2026. Last updated: October 27, 2026
Who we are
Ammett is a marketing and AI service for local service businesses in the United States, run by Sergei Kovtun in Orange County, California. In this policy, Ammett is operated by FTA Group, LLC, 2 Torres Pointe, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656, and "Ammett," "we" and "us" mean that company. You can reach us at info@ammett.com.
This policy covers ammett.com, the forms on it, emails you exchange with us, and calls or messages to our business phone line. It does not cover work we do for clients under a signed agreement. That work, including any data we handle for a client, is governed by the client agreement.
Information we collect
What you give us
- Audit request form: your name, company name, industry, website if you give one, email, phone number if you choose to give one, a description of the problem you want looked at, whether you asked for a call, and whether you asked us to text you about the audit. We also attach the page where your visit started, the last page you viewed before the form, the website that referred you and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source or gclid), so we know which pages and ads bring requests. This is kept in your browser's session storage, which clears when you close the tab, is sent to us only with the form, and is not used for advertising. With the request we also record the time it was sent, your IP address and the wording you agreed to, as a record of your consent.
- Emails and messages: whatever you include when you write to us.
- Phone calls and texts: if you call or text our business line, your phone number and what you tell us. If our AI phone assistant answers the call, also the call recording, a transcript and a short summary of the call (see "Our AI phone assistant" below).
- Client onboarding: if you become a client, billing and contact details needed to run the engagement. We do not store card numbers; payments go through a payment processor.
What is collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site, keep it secure and stop abuse. We do not use this data to build a profile of you. If you agree in the cookie banner, Google Analytics also collects usage data (see "Cookies and tracking").
Our audit form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending it. Turnstile processes technical signals such as your IP address and browser and device characteristics (see "Cookies and tracking" below).
Public business information
To prepare an audit, we review publicly available information about a business, such as its website, search results, map listing and public reviews. With the audit, we may also send one test inquiry through the business's own website form, to see how fast and how well it is answered. We disclose that test in the audit report. We do not collect private information about the business's customers.
How we use information
- To prepare and deliver the audit or answer you asked for.
- To understand how people use the site and how they find us, if they consent to Google Analytics.
- To measure whether our Google ads lead to audit requests, if they consent to Google Ads conversion tracking.
- To reply to you by email, or by phone if you gave a number, about your request, and by text only if you asked us to.
- To provide services to clients and send invoices.
- To keep the site and our systems secure and prevent spam and fraud.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to protect our rights.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Calls, texts and consent
When you send the audit form, you agree that we may contact you by email, or by phone if you gave a number, about that audit. That agreement is limited to your request. It is not consent to marketing.
Texts are separate and optional. We text you only if you checked the box asking us to, and only about your audit request, for example to schedule a call or send a link to your report. We send up to 3 messages per request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. For help you can also email info@ammett.com. Our full SMS terms are in our Terms of Use. You can also tell us to stop in any other reasonable way, and we will honor it within 10 business days. Checking the box is not required to get an audit.
We do not send cold text messages or marketing texts, and we do not make automated or prerecorded marketing calls.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
If we email you, you can ask us to stop at any time by replying or writing to info@ammett.com.
Our AI phone assistant
An AI voice assistant may answer calls to our business phone line. It is an automated system, not a person, and it tells you so at the start of the call. It also tells you that the call is recorded and transcribed by Ammett and our service providers. If you do not want the call recorded, you can hang up and email info@ammett.com instead.
We record the call and create a transcript and a short summary, which are sent to the founder so he can follow up. The call is handled by our phone provider, Quo (formerly OpenPhone), and our voice-agent platform, Retell AI, which in turn uses speech-recognition, speech-synthesis and AI-model providers to run the assistant. These providers process the call on our behalf to provide their service to us.
Before the AI assistant answers our line, we put contracts in place with these providers that limit their use of your call to providing the service to us and do not permit them to train their own AI models on our calls.
We use recordings, transcripts and summaries to respond to you, keep a record of your request, and check how well the assistant answers. We do not use them for advertising, and we do not sell or share them.
Cookies and tracking
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit and how they find us. It loads only after you agree in the cookie banner, and it sets analytics cookies only then. If you decline, it does not load. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization for our Google Analytics account, and we do not use it to build advertising audiences.
If you agree in the same banner, we also use Google Ads conversion tracking. When you arrive from one of our Google ads, it stores the ad click ID in a cookie, and if you then send an audit request, it tells Google Ads that the ad led to a request. It does not send your name, email or the contents of the form. We do not use remarketing (showing you ads because you visited our site) or ad personalization. If you decline, it does not load.
The site does not use session recording or chat widgets.
Your cookie choice is stored in a small cookie set by Cloudflare Zaraz, the tool that manages the banner and loads Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking.
Our audit form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending it. Turnstile processes your IP address and browser and device signals to detect bots. Cloudflare uses these signals to run the check and may also use them to improve its security services. Our hosting provider, also Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary security cookies, for example to filter bots.
If we add other advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent through the banner before those tools load.
California Do Not Track disclosures
We do not sell personal information. Google Ads conversion tracking is configured with restricted data processing, runs only after you opt in, and is not used for remarketing or personalized advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, Google Ads conversion tracking stays off even if you click Accept. Browser Do Not Track signals do not change how the site works.
Apart from the Cloudflare security check and, if you agree to them, Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking, we do not allow other companies to collect personal information about your activity on our site.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only in these cases:
- Service providers that help us run the business and process data on our instructions (listed below).
- Legal reasons: when required by law, a court order or a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Ammett, our clients or others.
- Business transfer: if the business is merged, sold or reorganized, information may transfer to the successor, subject to this policy.
- With your permission, for any other purpose you agree to.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to help operate our site and business. Their roles are described below.
- Cloudflare: website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), security, the Turnstile bot check on our forms, storing audit requests and consent records in our database (Cloudflare D1), and forwarding email sent to our ammett.com addresses (Email Routing).
- Resend: delivering form submissions to our inbox and sending our outgoing email.
- Google (Gmail): our business inbox.
- Google (Google Analytics 4): site usage statistics, only after you agree in the cookie banner.
- Google (Google Ads): conversion tracking for our own ads, only after you agree in the cookie banner.
- Quo (formerly OpenPhone): our business phone number, call routing and text messages.
- Retell AI: the AI phone assistant, call recordings and transcripts. Retell uses its own subprocessors, such as speech-recognition, speech-synthesis and AI-model providers.
- Payment processor, once we start invoicing clients.
We will keep this list current. If you want the up-to-date list, email us.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose we collected it for. To set each period, we look at why we need the information, whether you are a client, and whether a law, a contract, tax rules or a dispute requires us to keep it longer. Then we delete it or remove what identifies you.
- Audit requests and related emails: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client or ask us to delete them sooner.
- Call recordings (audio): up to 90 days.
- Call transcripts and summaries: up to 12 months.
- Client records: for the length of the engagement. After that, only the records we need for contracts, tax, accounting or disputes, generally up to 7 years.
- Privacy requests: a record of each request and our response, for 24 months.
- Hosting and security logs: for the short periods set by our hosting provider.
If you ask us not to contact you, we may keep a minimal record (such as your email address or phone number and the date) so we can honor that request.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards for a business of our size: reputable providers with encryption in transit, two-factor authentication on our accounts, a password manager for credentials, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you and how we use it;
- give you a copy of it;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop contacting you.
Email info@ammett.com with the subject "Privacy request." We may need to confirm your identity, usually by replying from the email address or phone number you used with us. We will confirm that we received your request within 10 business days and aim to respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we may take up to 45 more days. We may keep information we are legally required to keep, and we will tell you if that applies. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that they act for you. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
California residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, applies only to businesses that meet at least one threshold: more than $26,625,000 in annual gross revenue, buying, selling or sharing the personal information of 100,000 or more California consumers or households, or earning 50% or more of annual revenue from selling or sharing personal information. Ammett does not currently meet these thresholds. We still honor the access, copy, correction and deletion requests described above voluntarily, for everyone. This voluntary practice does not mean the CCPA applies to Ammett. If our status changes, we will update this policy and provide the notices and rights the law requires.
We collect, and since we started may have collected, these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone number, IP address), commercial information (the services you asked about or bought), internet activity (technical data from site visits), audio information (call recordings) and professional information (your company and role). We collected them from you, from your device, and from public sources about businesses. We used them for the purposes listed above. We do not sell personal information; our Google Ads conversion measurement practice is described above. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Shine the Light. Ammett has fewer than 20 employees and does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing (California Civil Code §1798.83). You can still email us to ask.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
United States only
We serve businesses in the United States. Our providers store and process information in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be handled under U.S. law.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites and platforms. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, for example before adding any new analytics or advertising tools. The dates at the top show the effective date of the latest version. If a change is significant, we will post a notice at the top of this page, and we will not use information already collected in a materially different way without your consent.
